Kodak magenta dye and a unique ink formulation in the ink cartridges have been optimised for Kodak Premium Picture Paper and result in longer-life prints, while custom algorithms and colour tables give more vibrant, colourful prints.

The most distinctive feature on the Personal Picture Maker 200 is its 1.8-inch, full-colour, LCD preview screen - just like those on digital cameras. With the preview screen, the user can easily scroll through all the images on the card, select those to print, then choose the number of copies to print and in what size and layout. The new printer supports a variety of printing templates, including several matched specifically to Kodak inkjet media for added versatility and unparalleled convenience.

The Personal Picture Maker 200 can also serve as a standard computer printer for all printing needs and is compatible with PCs using Microsoft Windows 98 and Millennium Edition (Me). It connects easily with PCs via USB port.
