KODAK PROFESSIONAL AND MAZDA IMAGING PROFESSIONAL ANNOUNCE WINNERS OF THE 'BEYOND QUALITY Q-LAB PROMO'

January 18, 2001, Mumbai :

Kodak Professional, a business unit of Kodak India Limited in association with Mazda Professional Imaging today announced winners of the 'Beyond Quality Q-Lab Promo' at a function in Mumbai. Winners included some of the well-known names in professional Indian photography. R.S Mani, Managing Director Kodak India Limited, gave away prizes to the winners an announced the commencement of the 'Beyond Quality Q-Lab Promo 2001'. The awards for this years programme will include a Macintosh G4 system, tickets to the US and a Hasselblad X-Pan system.

The beyond quality Q-lab promotion was jointly organised by Kodak Professional and Mazda between January 1, 2000 and December 31, 2000. Atul Kasbekar and Farrokh Chothia were awarded two return tickets to Singapore, Israr Qureshi, Jatin Kampani, Rafique Sayed and Ajay Salvi received two return tickets to Dubai, Dilip Bhatia, Daboo Ratnani, Shiv Saran and Ian Pereira received 25inch color television sets, Ronald Sequeira, Sandeep Mahatre, Prime Marketing, Mino, Creative -AV-ision, Hardeep and Denzin Sequeira received 14 inch color television sets.

Speaking at the occasion Mr. Mani said, " The Kodak Q-Lab certification programme aims to give the very best quality in transparency processing. A Q-Lab certification is granted to a lab after a year long monitoring system and has to be renewed every year. This stringent quality certification is extremely important for our customers requiring transparency processing. Kodak is proud to be able to provide its valued customers this service."

The point-based promotion was valid on every roll / sheet of Kodak Ektachrome processed at Mazda Professional Imaging Q-Lab for the promotion period. Prizes were determined on the basis of points collated during the year. One point was awarded for every roll / sheet film of Kodak Ektachrome.

Eligibility criteria for the prizes were as follows: Return tickets to London - 3500 points, Return tickets to Singapore - 2000 points, Return tickets to Dubai - 1000 points, 25" colour TV - 750 points, 14" Onida Candy TV - 500 points. The points were entered in separate BIN cards for each photographer. Prizes falling between the point slabs were given prize as per the lower point slab. A lucky draw was conducted for prizes for the grand prize of the Hasselblad system as well as prizes such as portable CD players and rolls of the Kodak Professional Ektachrome Film with free processing at Mazda.

Q-Lab is a Certification Programme, a standard of quality control for professional photography processing, which meets international standards. This programme has been adopted by Kodak worldwide. The Q-Lab programme was launched in India in 1995 and is now an industry standard for E-6 (slide/ transparency film) processing and a boon to the professional photographer.
